Check on their website or ask them. Many banks have various accounts with different requirements. Typically free checking might require regular direct deposit (or maybe not), or if your daily or average monthly balance is below a certain point, they might charge a monthly fee. Or if you have enough in other accounts or a home loan at the bank, they might waive fees.
Reply:you can have 0 dollars in checking accounts, but banks are jerks and they always find some way to scam you, so i always make sure i have at least somthing in there, at least 10 bucks. if you go negative dollars the bank will normally charge you 40 dollars! so be careful! dont go negative!
Reply:$100 minimum deposit.

Banks differ on the amount you have to have to avoid insufficient funds fees. My bank charges if your account is under $500 at the end of any month.
Reply:How question of checking a/c %26amp; charge thereon arises when every customer is provided with pass book or a/c statement in normal course of banking transactions?
Reply:$1-00
