Is it possible to reactivate a Verizon cell phone to use for my AT&T prepaid account?

I already have 2 prepaid starter kits with AT%26amp;T but the phones are really cheesy (I got the cheapest ones). I previously had a plan with Verizon which came with 2 very nice camera flip phones (LG models), which are now just sitting and collecting dust.

Is it possible to somehow switch over my AT%26amp;T numbers and service to the old Verizon phones? If so, how?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, no

Verizon and AT%26amp;T use different technologies (CDMA %26amp; GSM, respectively) to deliver their service. Phones are not compatible between the two technologies.

See link below for a bit more on this topic.
Reply:It depends...AT %26amp; T may be able to turn on the phone but because they are from a different provider all of the phone's features may not work.

I would call AT%26amp;T and tell them that you want to change your ESN (the phone's electronic signature), this is located on the battery, take off the battery and you'll see either ESN or MEID followed by numbers or numbers and letters.

AT %26amp;T will need to enter the ESN to have the service go to that phone. Again, there's a chance it won't take, but if does, there's also a chance that all of the phone's features may not work.
