I am 17 and i am gonna start working full time on Saturdays. I wanted to have abnk account so that I can keep track of my money and to keep myself from spending it all up.
What is the legal age to have a bank account?
You may have a bank account at the age of 1 month. However most financial institutions require you have a parent or guardian sign on a checking with debit card account with you. If it is just a savings account go to your local bank and ask to see a personal banker they will be more than happy to help you and in most cases with just a savings a parent or guardian is not normally needed.

By the way, if you are thinking about opening a savings account, check the interest rates of several banks by calling around or checking them out online. Then put your money in the bank which offers the most interest.
