Where can I get an old-fashioned savings account with a passbook?

I've gone right off the idea of accounts you can access on the internet. I just want a good old-fashioned one with a passbook where I go into the bank or building society to get my money out. Does such an account still exist?
Where can I get an old-fashioned savings account with a passbook?
banks have them ; just ask to open a passport savings account
Reply:There are a few..... the question is "Why would you like to earn less money on your savings"?..................
Reply:Maybe try 1996.
Reply:Depends on your banking institution, ask them if they still have the passbook savings accounts, although most institutions are shying away from them. Webster Bank in NY, NY and MA still have them. Good Luck!
Reply:I don't know if the banks still use passbooks or not but you can still open a savings account and go in to make deposits and withdrawals. The last passbook savings account I had was at a Federal Savings Bank. I'm at a credit union now and have a savings account. They don't do passbooks but I still have to go in to make deposits and withdrawals because they have a website but it's not interactive. I can't access my accounts through their website. My advice would be to call around to different banks and ask.
Reply:Try you local branch of halifax....
Reply:Third Federal still has that.
